Seeking informatio on Henrietta Crocker, and Thomas and Mary Spalding, of Morning Sun. Henrieeta Crocker was "placed out" at age 9 by the Baldwin Place (New England) Home for Little Wanderers with Thomas and Mary Spalding of Morning Sun, Iowa, on July 1, 1872. On 13 Sept 1883 she married William Frederick (Will) Kongabel (or Korngabel), who lived with his family either in Morning Sun or in Winfield, (a cousin still farms the Kongabel Century Farm south of Winfield), probably in the United Presbyterian Church of Morning Sun. I believe Henrietta's twin sister, Annette Crocker, was also placed out with a family in the Morning Sun area. I have information on parents and siblings of Henrietta and Annette Crocker. -- Dr. Ned Benson - St. John's Church - Reno, Nevada "A Schwoab wird mit vierzig g'scheit, andere net in Ewigkeit!"
