I have the following known ancestors from Wapello Twp, Louisa County. Jonathan HAMILTON sp: Harriet ROWE |_ 9 kids + |_ Eliza Jane HAMILTON Henry D. MILLER sp: Lydia WINECUP (not sure of last name, but I did find WINECUP in one source) |_ 9 kids + |_ Joradus M. MILLER As cited in the recent "Hamilton marriages" post, Eliza and Joradus were married in Wapello on 4 Feb 1872. They eventually moved to Ringgold County, IA, where they remained until death. I have dead-ended on these ancestors in Louisa. It appears that Jonathan, Harriet and Henry were born in OH, but I haven't been able to pin them down there yet. Lydia appears to have been born in PA, but no luck with her yet either. I have seen that there are others researching the HAMILTON name, any cuzzies out there? I don't recall seeing any MILLER researchers. Thanks to Bev, Norma, the Streets and all the rest who are doing a tremendous amount of work assisting those of us with Louisa roots!
