It is great seeing such activity on the mailing list and I am sure many of you are benefiting from it. However, I am somewhat concerned that this material is not being entered on the web pages for a permanent access record for people coming to the Louisa County Genealogical Society web pages for the first time. We do have a Louisa County GenConnect Board now and a search engine for searching the entire Louisa County website. This search engine DOES NOT search the mailing lists but only the data that is entered on the actual web pages via the links in the chart on the index page or directly from GenConnect on Rootsweb. Verna May has been busy adding her obituaries on the Obituary section of GenConnect but so far she seems to be the only one. The Query board is being used more now since I removed the access to the old form that was labor intensive to maintain. form. So far I have seen no Bible Records, Deeds, Wills or data of that sort entered. As time permits I will be adding more links for Births, Marriages etc, hopefully, in the next few days. I am pleading now for help in entering this type of material on line. If you don't understand the new system, please let me know and I will help you out on it.
