Graveside funeral services for 94 year old Theo "Tissy" D. Grover of Fredonia will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 16 at the Columbus City Cemetery. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation was held Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home from 4-8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Theo died Friday at the Colonial Manor Care Center, Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Theo Dorothy Duncan was born September 3, 1904 in Ainsworth, Iowa to Enos and Jetta Church Duncan. Enos died when Thos was very young and she was raised by her mother and step-father Jess Knott. Theo Duncan married Bert Grover October 12, 1941 in Lancaster, Missouri. Theo had worked as a bookkeeper for the Century company and the Deusters company for over 50 years in Cedar Rapids. Theo is survived by two nephews, Bob Duncan and his wife Merry Jo, Columbus Junction, and Jack Duncan, New York, New York; a great niece, Angelia Randolph, Milan, Ill; a nephew, Jerry Duncan and his wife Janet, Ainsworth; two great-great-nephews, and a great-great-niece. Also surviving is a long time family friend, Nancy Ludwick, Columbus Junction. Theo was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, and a nephew.
