She was converted at the age of 12 years. She was united in marriage to Philip C. Wagner on the 27th of November, 1842, in Dauphin county, Pa. In the year 1855 she, with her family, moved to Grandview, Ia., locating at the home where she passed away. She was the mother of seven children, four, Ellen, Mary, Anna C., and Elizabeth, having preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure, two sons, C.P. Wagner, with whom she has resided for twenty years; John Wagner, of Richmond, Kan., and one daughter, Mrs. Allie Lowe, of Letts, Ia.; twenty-six grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, three brothers, Jacob Straw, Charles Straw, of Harrisburg, Pa., Elliott Straw, of Baltimore, Md.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Wade and Mrs. Martha Hoover, of Harrisburg, Pa. The funeral was conducted from the home by John H. Boozer, pastor of the Evangelical church. Interment was made in the Grandview cemetery.
