CHURCH Evelyn G. Church, 73, 1247 Dale St., died Saturday morning at Muscatine General Hospital. Services are 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints with Elder Chuck Williams officiating. Organists will be Anita Kemp and Andy Pace. Pallbearers will be Ron Hagens, Steve Chocran, Ron Symmonds, Don Brinser, Hurschell Symmonds, Daryl Mitchell and Gary Freers. Visitation is 2-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or Muscatine General Hospital Hospice Unit. She was born Dec. 12, 1913 in Muscatine, the daughter of Harry Reeves and Mabel Dykes Freers. She married Ray Church Jan. 5, 1932 in Aledo, Ill. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints since 1922 where she served as Sunday school superintendent, Sunday school teacher, music director, womens department leader and pianist. She worked in Bible school as a teacher and the worship center and spent many hours as a volunteer community worker. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Albert Church, David Church, Frank Church and Harry Church; four daughters, Shirley Beverlin, Mrs. Donald (Yvonne) Curry, Mrs. Charles (Myrtle) Belknap and Mrs. Ronald (Mary) Roth, all of Muscatine; two stepsons, Jim Church, Suffolk, Va. and Kenneth Church, Universtity Park, Md.; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Virgil (Betty) Calvert, Mendon, Ill. and Mrs. Chuck (Ramona) McNealy, Agoura, Calif.; 46 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Dorothy Roth, Muscatine.
