Casket bearers are David Dodder, Joe Dodder, Tom Dodder, Doug Lee, Jack Harbison, Larry Fagerquist, Art Pugh and Ralph Oak. Honorary casket bearers are Bob Shellmyer, Clyde Crawford, Bob Fulton and Jake Davis. Rev. Chris Ebbers of the Morning Sun United Methodist Church will officiate, with Donna Belle Hughes, organist, and Brian and Kristie Cummings, vocalists. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home where a memorial has been established. The family will be present from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mr. Harbison died on Tuesday at the Morning Sun Manor after an extended illness. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Herbert A. Harbison was born on October 3, 1899, in Chandlerville, Illinois, to Arthur and Sarah Eads Harbison. He married Mildred Ramer on April 23, 1921, in Washington. Herbert was in farm machinery sales, selling Case and Allis-Chalmers equipment. He was a member of the Columbus Junction Presbyterian Church, the Columbus City Masonic Lodge #107 A.F. & A.M., the Davenport Consistory and Kaaba Shrine. Survivors include his wife, Mildred, Morning Sun; a daughter, Mrs. Margery Dodder, Columbus Junction; two sons, Herbert (Stub) Harbison, Morning Sun, and Jack of Casper, Wyoming. There are seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren; one surviving brother, Dyrrel of Hemet, California; and a sister, Mrs. William (Jane) Jackson of Lillian, Alabama. Herbert was preceded in death by one grandson, five brothers, Finas, Mode, Clyde, Richard, and Floyd; and four sisters, Beulah, Fay, Vergie, and Marguerite.
