Cummings, age 94, Morning Sun, died Sunday October 27, 1991 at the Morning Sun Care Center. The daughter of Shafan and Alice (Hetherington) Royer, she was born December 14, 1896 at Sparta, Illinois. On October 14, 1920 she married Robert Raymond Cummings; he died June 13, 1978. She was a member of the Sharon Reformed Presbyterian Church and a member of the Womens Missionary Fellowship. Survivors include; 7 nieces and nephews; 5 brothers and sister-in-laws; Hoyt and Vey Cummings, Morning Sun; Faye Bazel, Morning Sun; Jessie Royer, St. Charles, Missouri; Frances T. Cummings, Burlington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brother, Curtis and Luther, and 1 sister, Ella. Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 29, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. from the Hagele and Honts Funeral Home, Morning Sun, with Rev. Robert Schmidtberger officiating. Casket bearers were Jim Pilling, Joe Baird, Maurice McDonald, Alvin Lambert. Flower attendants were Ola Lambert and Marie Woodrow. Interment was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. A general memorial has been established.
