Skipto DATE: 1/5/2010 at 23:44:13 Surnames: EDWARDS,EUBANKS,HAMILTON,HEMPHILL,JACKSON Thelma Maxine Edwards, 58, of Morning Sun, died Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1991, at Methodist Hospital, Rochester, Minn. Born Oct. 9, 1932, near Newport, she was the daughter of Russell and Hazel Hamilton Eubanks. She married Leroy "Friday" Edwards Jan. 15, 1950, at Morning Sun. She attended the Morning Sun school system. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. She was past president of the Louisa County retarded Association. Survivors include her husband; two sons, Leslie Edwards, Elmwood, Neb.; and Mike Edwards, Hope Haven, Burlington; her mother, Hazel Hemphill, Mediapolis; her father, Russell Eubanks, Morning Sun; a sister, Mary Ellen Jackson, Mediapolis; three granddaughters; a stepgrandson; and several nieces and nephews. There was no visitation. The funeral for Mrs. Edwards was held at 2 p.m. Friday at Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun with the Rev. Chris Ebbers officiating. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun. A memorial has been established for the Douglas Residence at Hope Haven.
