Skipto DATE: 1/5/2010 at 23:29:50 Surnames: CRAWFORD,LEONARD,PORTER,PARKS,COOPER,WIESER,FRANCIS,RAMOS Ralph Pearl Crawford, 89, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, May 7, 1991, at Colonial Manor. Born Sept. 20, 1902, at Ainsworth, he was the son of Ralph and Archa Belle Leonard Porter. He married Adeline May Parks Nov. 26, 1926, in Morning Sun. He was a 1924 graduate of the University of Iowa. He was a principal and teacher at Morning Sun from 1926 until 1929, superintendent of schools at Conesville from 1929 until 1947, and at Wyman from 1948 until 1951. He was a member of the Columbus City Lodge No. 107, A.F. & A.M. Surviving are three sons, Clyde Crawford and James Crawford, both of Columbus Junction, and Daniel Crawford, Columbus, Ohio; a half brother, Harry Cooper, Pensacola, Fla.; three half sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Wieser and Mrs. Iona Francis, both of Waterloo, and Mrs. Noma Ramos, Riverside, Calif.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The service for Mr. Crawford will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, with the Rev. Denley Ganfield officiating. Burial will be in Oregon Township Cemetery.
