Skipto DATE: 1/4/2010 at 00:05:18 Surnames: CONRAD,LAUER,WHEELER,CLIFTON Dixie Jean Conard, 70, of Winfiedl, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1991, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Born Oct 8, 1921 in Mount Union, she was the daughter of Arthur and Helen Wheeler Lauer. She married Harold Conard Jan. 10, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. She was a 1939 graduate of Mount Union High School and attended ALC in Davenport. She was employed at the Mount Union Elevator in her earlier years and at the Wdinfield Farmers National Bank from 1961 unil 1986. She was a member of the Winfield Presbyterian Women, the Winfield TTT and the Winfield American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors inlude her husband; one son, Kerry Conard, Winfield; her mother, Mount Union; one brother, Dick Lauer, Mount Union; and one sister, Beverly Clifton, Bettendorf. The funeral for Mrs. Conard was held Saturday November 2, at the Winfield Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Jim Edwards officiating. Burial was at the Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery. Memorials have been established for the Presbyterian Church, Hipe Haven and the Sunrise Terrace Auxiliary.
