Born Aug. 25, 1894, at Morning Sun, she was the daughter of Cyrus F. and Mary S. McClure Hewitt. On Dec. 6, 1916, in Louisa County, she married Alben A. Davis. She was a country school teacher. She was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis, and was an assistant church organist and was active in UPW. Surviving are five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 7 8:300 p.m. Thursday at Fry Funeral Chapel, Mediapolis. The services for Mrs. Davis was held Friday at the First Presbyterian Church, Mediapolis, with the Rev. H. Dick Reynolds Jr. officiating. Burial was in Kossuth Cemetery.
