John Frederick Lott, 56, of Burlington, died at 12:58 a.m. Monday, May 31, 1993, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Aug. 27, 1936, in Oakville, he was the son of Fred and Jessie Sevler Lott. He first married Shirley Gillette Lott. He later married Dorothy Kobs on May 28, 1969, in Macomb, Ill. He was a maintenance millwright for J.I. Case Co., retiring in 1976. He also owned Lott Auto Repair and Sales at 809 Koestner St. for 20 years until he retired. Mr. Lott served in the Army in Germany during the Korean War. He was a member of the United Auto Workers. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Vicki Teel of San Diego, Calif.; four sons, Philip Lott of Burlinton and Tracy Lott, Darryl Lott and Brett James Lott, all of Wapello; a stepson, Dennis Johnston of Burlington; two stepdaughters, Becky Garland of Farmer City, Ill., and Julie Donlan of Carman, Ill.; two brothers, Sam Lott of Jerseyville, Ill., and C.R. Lott of Washington state; six sisters, Harriet Severns of Lynn Center, Ill., Millie Degen and Frances Scoggins, both of Livingston, Ill., Pauline Daiker of Grafton, Ill., Lillie Foster of Montesano, Wash., and Carol Kobs of Muscatine; and seven grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. tonight in Lunning Chapel. The body will be cremated following visitation. There will be no funeral. A memorial has been established for the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
