Carlene M. Winchester, 57, of Nauvoo, Ill., died Satuday, May 22, 1993, at Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill. Born Dec. 13, 1935, at Oakville, she was the daughter of Carl and Frances Lynch Sallady. She married Joe Winchester on April 17, 1954, at Wapello. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Nauvoo. She managed the former Old Family Restaurant and most recently the Cheese House, both of Nauvoo. Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Jolene McMeins of Carthage, Ill.; three sons, Tony Winchester and Mark Winchester, both of Nauvoo, and Glen Winchester of Kerns, Utah; his mother of Wapello; two brothers, Frank Salladay of Morning Sun and Clarence Sallady of Parker, Ariz.; and nine grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and a sister. Friends may call after noon Tuesday at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. A memorial service for Mrs. Winchester will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the LDS Chapel, Nauvoo, followed by a graveside service at 1 p.m. at Edwards Cemetery, Oakville. Bishop Dale Jacobs will officiate. A memorial has been established.
