PIERCE BAKER Wapello – E. Pierce Baker, 82, of the Golden Age Home, formerly of Golf View Drive, Route 5, Chippewa Falls, Wisc., died Jan. 5 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at Chippewa Falls. Services were Thursday at the Pederson-Volker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Barry Boyer of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial was at the Forest Hill Cemetery at Chippewa Falls. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Hospital Auxiliary. Mr. Baker was born Feb. 12, 1905 at Wapello, a son of Horace William and Kate H. Pierce Baker. He married A. Marie Archibald on Dec. 31, 1924 in Fort Madison. He retired in June of 1980 as a county office supply salesman. The couple moved to Chippewa Falls in May of 1982. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Kathrene) Mandelert of Chippewa Falls; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
