FLETCHER Lucy Pauline Fletcher, 85, of the Bethesda Care Center, Mediapolis, died at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, 1994, at Burlington Medical Center. Born June 1, 1908, in Columbus City, she was the daughter of Clyde and Bessie Hanft. On Aug. 11, 1929, she married Harlan Fletcher in Columbus City. He preceded her in death. Mrs. Fletcher was a homemaker. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Dean of Mediapolis and Linda Fletcher of Kansas; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Helen Snyder of Columbus Junction, Dorothy Hanft of California, Marion Kulp of Burlington and Mildred Nischwetz of Muscatine. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a son. Mrs. Fletcher has been cremated. There will be no memorial service. Inurnment will be at a later date in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the Asbury United Methodist Church. Contributions can be left at the Haas Funeral Home.
