Lucille Hocomb Letts, Iowa - Lucille V. Holcomb, 89, Letts, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2003, in her home. Services are 2:30 p.m. Monday at the Ralph J Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr. Edith Little will officiate. Pallbearers are John Holcomb, Alan Holcomb, Garu Holcomb, Kenneth G. Wagner, Kent Peterson and Steve Sachleben. Honorary pallbearers are T. B. Holcomb Jr., Frank M. Holcomb, Frank E. Holcomb, Richard L. Cale, Jeffry Johnson, Rob Johnson, James Johnson, Kenneth Wagner and Kenneth Snyder. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Unity Hospice Program. Mrs. Holcomb was born Sept. 2, 1913, in Muscatine, the daughter of John F. and Myrtle Hines Elliott. She married Robert G. Holcomb Aug. 25, 1931, in Rock Island, Ill. She was a member of the Eastern Star and the Island United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Robert E. Holcomb of Olympia, Wash.; three daughters, Carol Holcomb of Letts, Margaret "Maggie" Meeker and her husband Charles of Conesville, and Mary Cale and her huband Richard of Columbus, Ind.; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sisters.
