Death came after four weeks of suffering in the hospital due to a complication of diseases. The decedent was born August 16, 1945, at Constantine, Michigan, and came to Letts at the age of seventeen. There he resided on a farm until twelve years ago when he moved to town. All the last years of his life were spent at his home in Letts. He leaves his wife, one son Oral, of Muscatine, two daughters, Mrs. Walter Ingraham of Letts, and Mrs. Bert Thompson of Grandview; four sisters, Miss Ollie Parsons of Letts, Mrs. Ella Furnas of Letts, Mrs. Henry Hill of Conesville, and Mrs. J. Hutchinson of Blue Mound, Kansas, and two brothers Abner of Bayard, Iowa, and Samuel of Blue Mound, Kansas. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the U.B. Church conducted by Rev. Phillips. The cortage proceeded proceeded to Grandview and burial was made in the cemetery there.
