SHUCK Dixie L. Shuck, 56, of Columbus Junction, died Tuesday, Sept. 6, 1994, at her home following an extended illness. Born April 9, 1938, in Muscatine, she was the daughter of Floyd and Leona McKillip Garrison. She married Wilbert Russell. She later married Loren Shuck July 22, 1980, in Las Vegas, NV. She had lived in Columbus Junction for the past 10 years. She was a member of the Church of St. Joseph, and was a volunteer at the Columbus Junction Senior Center. Survivors include her husband; her three children from her first marriage, Charles Edward Russell of Santa Rose, CA, Dennis Lee Russell of Corvallis, OR; two step-children, Lonna Hernandez of Thousand Oaks, CA, and David Shuck, Buena Park, CA; a brother, Donald Garrison of Buckeye, AZ; two sisters, Charlotte Hurlburt of Montpelier, and Darlene Coulter of Charlotte, NC; a half-brother, Jim Garrison, of Muscatine; seven grandchildren; and three step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother. The funeral for Mrs. Shuck was at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Church of St. Joseph in Columbus Junction. Casketbearers were Charles Russell, Dennis Russell, Rod Hurlburt, Steve Hurlburt, Diane Winters and Calvin Hurlburt, Jr. Music was by Ann Ellsworth. Burial was in the Greenwood Cemetery, Muscatine.
