WAPELLO - Louis E. Pallister, 65, died Monday at his home. Services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Burial is at the Wapello Cemetery, Wapello. The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mr. Pallister was born Sept. 1, 1923 in Des Moines County, Iowa, a son of Sam and Anna Timmerman Pallister. His marriage to Karen Dickey took place Sept. 4, 1983 at the Fairview Church in Louisa County. During his adult life he farmed, was a truck driver and in 1966 began his saw mill and lumber business known today as Pallister Pallet, Inc. Survivors include his wife, Karen; one son, Ronald of Wapello; one stepson, Dean Jensen of Ashland City, Tenn.; two stepdaughers, Jeri Powers of Ashland City; and Heather Jensen of Wapello; two grandchildren; his mother, Anna Lambert of Morning Sun; one brother, Orville of Wapello; one sister, Violet Hylton of Bettendorf; and one stepbrother, Donnie Lambert.
