Skipto DATE: 2/9/2010 at 14:42:40 Surnames: WALKER,SEILER Source: Louisa County Historical Society This community was very much grieved to hear of the death of Richard Walker, son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Walker, which occurred Sunday, Sep. 10th, 1905, after an illness of two weeks with inflamation of the bowels. The death is made double sad because of the three little children (aged 5, 4, and 1 years) which are left fatherless, and with the widow, father, mother, sisters, brothers and other relatives are left to mourn his untimely death. The deceased was born June 14th 1869, thus making him aged 36 years, 2 months and 26 days. He was united in marriage to Miss Celia Seiler on March 16th, 1898. He was a highly respected young man and his death is not alone mourned by his immediate family, but a large number of friends express their sorrow at his demise and extend their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved ones. The funeral services were held from the Methodist Church in Grandview Tuesday at eleven o'clock a.m. conducted by Rev. W. H. Cooper, of Wapello, and were very largely attended. Intement in Grandview Cemetery.
