Having suffered intensely for more than a year from a complication of diseases, Mrs. Elizabeth Erwin McGill, wife of John McGill, died at the family residence, 108 Madison street, yesterday afternoon shortly before 5 o'clock. Of the seven children of Mrs. McGill, five preceded her in death. Those of the immediate family to survive her are her husband, one son, Lee McGill of Bloomington township, and one daughter, Miss Nellie McGill, residing at home. The funeral service will be held from the church at Grandview on Friday at 12:15 o'clock in the afternoon, where interment will be made in the cemetery of that place. Source: LCHS scrapbook
