Chet Paxson, 77, of Wapello, died Sunday morning at the Burlington Medical Center in Burlington. Services are at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Fulton Cemetery. The family will meet with friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wapello Community Ambulance Service. Mr. Paxson was born Oct. 4, 1912 in Louisa County, a son of Jess H. and Edna Mae Boden Paxson. He was educated in the Wyman and Wapello schools and was an Army veteran of World War II. He had worked as a farmhand Survivors included one brother, Robert, of Sherwood, Ark., and two sisters, Verna Taylor of Wapello; and Luella Heidt, of Modesto, Calif.
