Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Rev. Richard Smith will officiate. Burial is in the Grandview Cemetery. Visitation is 7 to 8 this evening. The daughter of Thomas and Nettie Jacques Buchan, she was born July 8, 1896 in Green County, Iowa. She had been a resident of the Grandview area since 1917. Her marriage to Lee Earl “Bob” Buster, took place Aug. 16, 1916 in Green County. He died Jan. 4, 1962. She was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Sigma Kappa club and the National League of Postmasters. She had served as the Grandview postmistress for 25 years before retiring in 1966. Survivors include two step-sons, Leon Giles of Acampo, Calif., and Cecil Giles of Galt, Calif.; two daughters, Darlyne Johnson and Maxine Wiley, both of Wapello; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, three brothers, one daughter and two grandchildren. Source: newspaper clipping with handwritten death date of June 7, 1981
