Music was provided by Donna Belle Hughes. Casket bearers were Wayne Barnes, Jerry Ludwick, Allan Tangen, Rick Ball, Fred Humiston, and George Ball. Ernest died Saturday, September 10, at Colonial Manor Care Center, Columbus Junction. A memorial has been established. Burial was in the Cedar Bethel Cemetery, Letts. Ernest Leroy Wagner was born November 15, 1908, in Letts, to Reuben and Bessie Wince Wagner. He was a life-long farmer in the area. He was a member of the Louisa County Farm Bureau. Survivors include: his sister-in-law, Mrs. Helen Wagner, Letts; a niece, Mrs. Steven (Shirley) McDonald, Central City; two nephews, Ron Wagner of Letts and Dan Wagner of Wapello. There are four great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Harold. Source: newspaper clipping September 13, 1994
