The service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home of Columbus Junction. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in the Harrison Cemetery, rural Wapello. She was born April 28, 1937, in Iowa City to Glen and Emily Busch Johnson Sr. She married Jesse Wheeler, Sr. Sept. 25, 1954, in Muscatine. Mrs. Wheeler was a member of the Sycamore Baptist Church in Muscatine. She had worked for the past eight years with the United Vending Food Service. Survivors include her husband, Jesse of Muscatine; two daughters, Rebecca and her husband James Blodgett of Columbus Junction, and Patricia Wheeler of Muscatine; four sons, Jesse Wheeler, Jr. of Columbus Junction, James Wheeler, and Thomas Wheeler, both of Muscatine; Kenny Wheeler, Columbus Junction; 22 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; four brothers, John, Charles, Harry and Glen. Jr. Johnston, all of Muscatine; six sisters, Erma Jean Jacobs, Sandy Campbell, Carolyn Freyermuth, Charlotte Reifert and Mary Ann Brown, all of Muscatine; Mina Suhl of Clarissa, Minn. She was preceded in death by her parents, and two sisters, Sharon Kaye Musgrove and Carol Cubbage, both in 1995. Source: newspaper clipping with handwritten death date of May 18, 1996
