CRISS Funeral services for 89 year old Fred A. Criss of Muscatine, formerly of Conesville will be held on Thursday, March 21, 1996 at 1:30 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa. Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery, Conesville, Iowa. Fred died on Monday, March 18, in Muscatine. Visitation was held on Wednesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Fred Alvero Criss was born January 23, 1907 in Conesville, Iowa to William and Minnie Nolind Criss. He married Marjorie E. Mincer December 7, 1946 in Muscatine, Iowa. Fred was a meatcutter and had worked at the Airport Supermarket near Conesville. Fred also farmed most of his life in the Conesville area. Fred is survived by two sons, Rick Criss of Charles City, Iowa and Randy Criss of Battle Creek, Michigan. There are six grandchildren, Zach, Marjorie, Heather, Crystal, Danyelle, Jim and Holly. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Virginia Willard, Rock Island, IL. Fred was preceded in death by his parents, wife Marjorie and a brother Harry, and five sisters, Neva, Rosa, Goldie, Selma and Roxie.
