The Rev. Richard Smith officiated. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery, Morning Sun, Ia. Mr. Heater was born June 16, 1901 in Missouri to Gibson and Ida Mae Jennings Heater. He married Edna Nichols Feb. 23, 1935 in Muscatine; she died Sept. 20, 1981. Mr. Heater retired from the Iowa Army Ammunition Plant in 1965. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. Surviving: Six sons, Billie Nichols, Mt. Union, and Norman Heater, Saratoga, Wyo., Donald Heater, Tucson, Ariz., Larry Heater, Coeur dÂ’Alene, Idaho, John Heater, Boles, Ark., and Gordon Heater, Mediapolis; five daughters, Betty Crocker, Laughlin, Nev., Barbara Amick, Sparks, Nev., Bonnie Frieburg, Grand Junction, Colo., and Louise Kammerer and Virginia Hunt, both of Wapello; 39 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
