P.H. "Pete" Naber, 92, 114 W. 11th. St. died today (18 Feb. 1987) at Muscatine General Hospital. Services are Friday at 3 p.m. at the Trinity Episcopal Church. The Rev. James Engels will officiate. Pallbearers are Jim Naber, Robert Denman, Wayne Wright, Charles Anson, John Anson, Jeff Anson and Nick Gaeta. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until noon at the Ralph J Wittich Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the church. Mr. Naber was born Jan. 21, 1895 at Fulton, Ill., a son of Henry and Grace Vander Lahn Naber. His marriage to Nelda Napper took place Aug. 12, 1953. He was a member of the Trinity Episcopal Church, a 56-year member of the Elks Lodge No.304, the Moose Lodge No. 388 and Battery C No. 126 Field Artillery 34th Division. He was a former realtor. Survivors include his wife; one son, Robert Naber, Puyallup, Wash.; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Linda) Anson, Muscatine; Mrs. Dan (Kathy) Andaya, Stockton, Calif.; and Mrs. Wayne (Jeane) Wright, Tacoma, Wash.; 14 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one brother, Henry Naber, Muscatine; and two sisters, Jennie Raushenberger, Muscatine; and Stella York, Tipton. He was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons, four brothers, one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
