Services are Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Wapello United Methodist Church. The Revs. George Yetter and Brian Wiele will officiate. Burial will be at the Grandview Cemetery. The family will meet with friends Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or the Louisa County Care Facility. Mr. Wiele was born Feb. 16, 1900 at Mount Union, Iowa, a son of Fred Emma Vahle Wiele. His marriage to Marvel McGill took place April 11, 1923 at Muscatine. He was a member of the United Methodist Church. He was a past mayor of Grandview and had served a 3-year term on the Louisa County Board of Supervisors. He was a farmer and for 10 years had worked at the Iowa Army Ammunitions Plant at Burlington, retiring in 1966. Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lyn of Orinda, Calif.; and Don of Marion; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Milo of Grandview; and one sister, Hazel Shew also of Grandview.
