MARTIN Funeral services for 67 year old Betty I. Martin of Grandview, Iowa were held at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 15, 1995 at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction with the Rev. Darryl Erickson officiating. Donna Belle Hughes provided music. Casket bearers were Marvin Hamilton, Bryan Hoben, Dick Wilson, Frank Williams, Mike Williams and Darryl Hartsock. Burial was in the Grandview Cemetery. Visitation was held Monday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with the family present in the evening. Betty died on Friday at the Washington County Hospital, Washington, Iowa. Betty I. Franklin was born October 15, 1927 in Bayfield, Iowa to Floyd and Wyona Orr Franklin. She married William “Bill” Martin on Feb. 13, 1954 in Red Oak, Iowa. Betty had worked at Keller Ladders, Muscatine, until her retirement. Betty is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Martin, Grandview; two daughters, Mrs. Robert (Carol) Richardson, Wapello and Ms. Shirley Martin, Muscatine; 4 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Violet Martin, Muscatine. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Mildred and Lucille, a son, Carroll and daughter Joyce Carpenter.
