Phyllis L. Lee, 69, of 721 Louia St., died at 12:52 a.m. Sunday, March 29, at Burlington Medical Center. Born April 14, 1918, in Iowa, she was the daughter of Elmer and Agnes Carter. She married Michael E. Lee March 18, 1939, at St. Augustine, Ill. He died July 2, 1977. Mrs. Lee ran the telephone switchboard at Raritan, Ill., and had worked for National Research and Klein's Store, Burlington. She was retired. She was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church. Surviving are one son, Michael Lee, New London; one daughter, Patricia Kay Lee, Bentonville, Ark.; her mother, Agnes Carter, Wapello; two brothers, Kenneth Carter, Monticello, and Richard Carter, Salt Lake City, Utah; and four granddaughters, and three great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel. Wake services will be 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel. Services for Mrs. Lee will be held at a time to be announced later at St. Paul's Catholic Church with the Rev. Carl Leveling officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
