William Roland Rose, 74, of 715 Waverly road, Davenport, died Saturday at Davenport Medical Center. Private services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Wapello, Iowa, Cemetery. Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the family. He was a building contractor. Mr. Rose married Bertha Miller in 1934 in Wapello. He was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife; daughters, Dorothy Tague, Chicago, and Pat Wille, Milan; a son, William R., Corpus Christi, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet Miller, and a brother, Columbus "Sandy", both of Wataga, Ill.
