Services are Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home. The Rev. George Yetter will officiate. Kathleen Hagele is organist. Pallbearers are Jess Grimm, Milton Hayes, Don Williams, Lloyd Meyerholz, Howard Schneider and William H. Matthews. Floral attendants are Donna Williams, Elda Matthews and Helen Williams. Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery. Visitation begins after noon Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, Wapello, or to the Wapello Rescue Unit. Mrs. Bentley was born March 2, 1903 at Wapello, a daughter of John and Lillie Flitch McChesney. She first married E. Verner Anderson on Dec. 24, 1921. He died in 1945. On Aug. 12, 1952 she married Albert Bentley. He died in 1970. She was a member of the church, the Jefferson Township Circle, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 257, TTT Society, Wapello, the Wapello Study Club and the Louisa County Historical Society. Survivors include one stepson, Bruce Bentley, Mediapolis; one brother, Dean McChesney, Fairfield, Calif.; one sister, Mary Baker, Wapello; and several nieces and nephews.
