Shellabarger, one of the oldest residents of Letts, died at his home there Tuesday morning at 6:30 o'clock. Death was due to heart trouble and came unexpectedly. Mr. Shellabarger was 79 years of age and had been a resident of Grandview township for many years. He was a member of the Thirty-fifth Iowa Volunteer Infantry during the Civil war. He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Wm. Estep of Letts and two sons, E.P. Shellabarger of Columbus Junction, and Clarence of Letts. Funeral services were conducted from his late home at 2 o'clock this afternoon. Interment in the Letts cemetery.
