Burial will be in Columbus City Cemetery. Visitation is 3-8 p.m. today, with the family present from 6-8 p.m. He died Monday at Mercy Hospital, Iowa City, after an extended illness. He retired in 1984. He farmed in the Columbus Junction area. Mr. Bell married Martha Duncan in 1941 in Kahoka, Mo. She died in 1983. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Columbus Junction; Columbus City Lodge 107; A.F. & A.M.; Kaaba Shrine; and the Davenport Consistory. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors included a daughter, Nancy (Mrs. Charles) McKean, Dunlap, Ill.; sons, Michael, LeClaire, Iowa, and Samuel, Columbus Junction; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Margaret Robertson, Columbus Junction; Anita Hill, Muscatine; and Mildred (Mrs. Herbert) Harbison Jr., Morning Sun.
