Nesbitt, 73 years of age, passed away Tuesday, July 31, at the county farm, where he had been an inmate for thirty years. He was born in Ohio, and was married in 1867. Three children were born to the union and all of them died in childhood. He served in the Union army during the Civil war and was given an honorable discharge at its close. He is survived by his wife, who lives at Kansas City. Burial took place yesterday afternoon, Rev. C.E. Coggeshall conducting the services at the grave. Several members of the local G.A.R. Post attended the funeral and acted as pallbearers. No relatives were present. Interment in Wapello cemetery.
