Erwin, a resident of South Muscatine, died last night at 12 o'clock at her home after an illness lasting ove the past two years. Mrs. Lucy A. Erwin was born in Louisa County on January 26, 1856, and lived there most all her life. There it was that she was married and three years ago she with her husband and children, then grown up, moved to this city and have resided in South Muscatine and Musserville ever since. the deceased was not a church member but she had been converted and her health prevented her from attending during the last few years. She is survived by her husband and three children, Mrs. Minnie Billings, of Oklahoma, and Earl and Grace at home. four sisters and one brother are all living, the parents having passed away some time ago. Her brother and sisters are: Mrs. George Bike of Grandview; Mrs. C. Been, of this city; Mrs. Joseph Westerfelt and Mrs. T.J. Fowler, of the Muscatine Island and Elerman, of this city. The funeral arangements have not been made as yet but will be announced through the column of the Journal.
