Services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Stacy-Lewis Chapel with Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Music was by Kathy Bell, Jay and Lorie Hauenstein, and Paul Duncan. Casket bearers were Dale Sands, Mike, Ronald, Donald, Mark and Richard Jones. Burial was in Cambrian Cemetery. Mrs. Jones was born August 10, 1898, at Ord, Madison County, Iowa, the daughter of William Grant and Hattie Fisher DeMar. She was a home economics teacher in the Cotter School until 1924. On June 12, 1924, she married David Richard Jones in Winterset. She was a member of the Cotter United Presbyterian Church and Ladies Aid, the Columbus City Improvement Club and the Farm Bureau Women. Surviving are two sons, Howard Richard Jones of Columbus Junction, and William Griffith Jones of Boulder, Colorado; two daughters, Harriet Jane Jones of Columbus City, and Mrs. Willard (Dorothy) Sands of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, one brothe, Owen, and one sister, Vivian.
