Jones, 88, of Cotter, died Friday, April 17, 1992, at Sunrise Terrace Care Center, Winfield. Funeral services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction. Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiated. Donna Belle Hughes was organist and Paul Duncan vocalist. Casket bearers were Joel Greene, Ronald Greene, David Goble, Donald Hanft, Jay Greene, and Howard Jones. A memorial has been established for the Cotter Presbyterian Church. Burial was in the Cambrian Cemetery, rural Columbus Junction. Maud Greene was born November 18, 1903, in Columbus City, to David and Dora Beach Greene. She graduated from Columbus City High School and attended Parsons College for two years. She married John G. Jones on October 15, 1930 in Muscatine. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1986. Maud was a life-long resident of the area. She was a member of the Cotter Presbyterian Church and a member of the ladies aid group. Survivors include her son, Richard Cotter, and several nieces and nephews.
