Born July 31, 1913, in Moberly, Mo., she was the daughter of Charles A. and Sara Elizabeth Jackson Brown. She married Glen H. Stafford on March 23, 1935, in Illinois. He preceded her in death. She was a homemaker and worked part-time at Cargill Corp. in Mount Pleasant. She was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Mount Pleasant. Survivors included five daughters, Evelyn Riley and Violet Mills, both of Mount Pleasant; Ruth Yakleof of Wapello, Ferne Hill of Trenton, and Pauline Moeller of Winfield; three sons, Dean Stafford and Paul Stafford, both of Mount Pleasant, and Wayne Stafford of Winfield; 36 grandchildren; and 35 great-grandchildren. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, one daughter, three sisters and two brothers. The funeral for Mrs. Stafford was at 2 p.m. Saturday at Elliot Chapel with William Knox officiating. Burial was in Brooks Cemetery, New London.
