Bean, 55, died Thursday at Muscatine General Hospital. He retired in April after 25 years at Grain Processing Corp., Muscatine. Mr. Bean married Peggy Law in 1959 in Aledo, Ill. Visitation is 2-8 p.m. Saturday at George M. Wittich-Lewis Funeral Home, Muscatine. Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Musserville Methodist Church, Muscatine. Burial will be in Grandview Cemetery. He was a retired member of Distillery Workers Union; and a member of the church; Musserville Men’s Club; and Men’s Fellowship of the Salvation Army. He enjoyed the outdoors with his family and gardening and camping with the NYEP. A memorial fund has been established. Survivors include his wife; sons, Harry L. “Mike” and Bradley W., both of Muscatine; two grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Mrs. Donald) Keisy, Mount Pleasant; Neva (Mrs. Ralph) Gerling, Grandview; and Beverly (Mrs. Frank) Pershy, Muscatine; and brothers, Stanley, Columbus Junction; Wallace and Danny, both of Muscatine; and Jerry and Larry, both of Ainsworth.
