He died April 3, 1912 aged 36 years, four months and 8 days. He was united in marriage to Bertha Cocklin November 11, 1897. To this union was born two children, Vera H. and Merle. He leaves to mourn his early departure a widow, two children, one brother, W.H. Krahl, of Letts, Iowa, two sisters, Elizabeth and Mrs. J.J. Beik, both of Grandview and a host of other relatives and friends. Mr. Krahl had been afflicted for more than eleven years. For the past few years he was confined to the house, helpless, but patient and hopeful. It was the privilege of the writer to see and converse with him frequently on the subject of salvation and he expressed himself as having made the preparation and being ready for the call. The funeral took place at the United Evangelical church, conducted by Rev. J.H. Boozer, and was largely attended. Source: LCHS scrapbook
