Sheetz, 90, died Sunday at Lutheran Homes, Muscatine. Services are Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Lacock Funeral Home, Wilton, with the Rev. Telford Dindinger officiating. Visitation is Tuesday from 3-8 p.m. at the funeral home where a Masonic service will be at 8 oclock. Burial will be in the Melpine Cemetery, Sweetland Township, rural Muscatine. A memorial has been established at the funeral home. Mr. Sheetz was born Sept. 21, 1895 in Muscatine County, a son of John and Catherine Sheetz. He married Irene Drescher on Dec. 10, 1919 in Muscatine County. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of the Veterans of World War I, the Wilton Masonic Lodge, the American Legion, The Wilton Presbyterian Church and the Muscatine County Farm Bureau. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Dorothy) Shanks, Muscatine; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Ellie Bridgefort, Tipton.
