Born June 28, 1928, in Muscatine, he was the son of George and Dorothy Pettis Blake. Mr. Blake was a truck driver. He was of the Protestant faith. He was a member of the Teamsters Union. Survivors include one brother, George Blake of Burlington; one sister, Nancy Blaylock of Donnelson, Ill.; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Visitation will be from 7 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh’s Chapel. The funeral for Mr. Blake will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Prugh’s Chapel, with the Rev. William Trump officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery. A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society. Source: newspaper clipping with handwritten death date of March 26, 1995
