GRIMM Jess C. Grimm, 77, Wapello, died Saturday, October 24, 1992, at Burlington Medical Center. Services were held Tuesday, October 27, 1992, at the Apostolic Christian Church in Oakville. Ministers from the church conducted the service. Pallbearers were Kent Grimm, Chris Grimm, Brian Wiegand, Kenneth Lanz, Larry Moser and Ronald Massner. Burial was in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery. Memorials may be left to the church. He was born February 13, 1915, at Larchwood, Iowa, the son of Chris and Julia Massner Grimm. He married Esther Witzig. She preceded him in death on October 21, 1960. He later married Elizabeth “Liz” Wiegand on June 22, 1961, at Oakville. Mr. Grimm was a farmer and member of the Apostolic Christian Church at Oakville. He served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps during WW II. He is survived by his wife, Liz; three daughters, Janet Jordan, Columbus Junction; Marilyn Gustison, Wapello and Tamara McLain, Marietta, Georgia; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Ursel Barth, Morning Sun; Marvis Kaiser, Morton, Illinois; six brothers, Floyd, Cisna Park, Illinois; Clyde, Columbus Junction; Kenneth and Mark, both of Wapello; Charles, Rosehill, Kansas and David, Verona, Missouri.
