Yes, there are places to stay. It kind of depends on what you are looking for. Wapello has a motel and hotel and there is a newer hotel in Columbus Junction. There are two bed and breakfasts in the county, another will be opening soon. No fancy eating places. Be sure to eat at least once at the bait shop (and have a piece of pie!). There are two cafe's down town and a deli at the grocery store, plus a pizza place, a sub shop and a sandwich/ice cream shop. You won't go hungry. Plan ahead and make an appointment to do research at the Heritage Center. There is also genealogical information at all four public libraries in the county. If you are here the fourth Tuesday, be sure to attend our LCGS meeting.
