My husband said he believes he had a son who lived in California, maybe Los Angeles. I could probably find out more about this, if you wish. > > Jan Definately the right family--but I am wondering if the one in Wapello was a Jr. to the Theodore I have or he would have been an older gent when you knew him in the 40s and 50's. I can't connect the Theodore I have (b. abt 1873) to the rest of the group (he is mentioned in the will of one of his unmarried uncles but it doesn't state the relationship to the family.) I know this Theodore was married on 09 Jul 1899 in Muscatine County to a lady named Effie Parker and that SHE is buried at Greenwood Cemetery in Muscatine. He does not appear on the Greenwood records. I don't have any idea who their children were except for the fact that Effie apparently died as the results of childbirth complications at age 34. She and an unnamed infant were buried the same day. I don't know if they had other children before this infant (which is possible- they married in 1899 and she died in Dec 1907) I would guess this gentleman may have remarried after Effie died. Anything you could find out would be greatly appreciated. There are so few folks with the Gettert surname left that it's hard to track the descendants. __________________________________________ NetZero - Defenders of the Free World Get your FREE Internet Access and Email at http://www.netzero.net/download/index.html
