My grandfather, Grover Eugene Harrison, graduated from Letts High School in 1900. I just found a commencement program in some family things I have. "Eighth Annual Commencement, Letts High School, Opera House, Letts, Iowa, Friday Evening, May 18, 1900." The three page program includes the following list of graduates: Bertha BAILEY, Augusta Mae GARRETT, Eugene HARRISON, John Leroy HILDEBRAND, Ernst W. LIEBERKNECHT, Blanche SHELLABARGER, Alpha Amelia WABNITZ, Odessa WEAVER, Emma WESTBROOK. The class colors were pink and lavender. The class motto: "Keep Your Plow Bright." Along with the program, I have a group portrait of the nine graduates, although there is no identification on the photograph as to who took the picture or specifically who the people are (I can identify my grandfather of course.) I will gladly provide photocopies of the 3 page program at no cost if interested people will send an SASE.
