    3. Hi Nancy, This is long, so bear with me. I'll try not to make any typos. From the Columbus Gazette, February 15, 1905. "Daniel Hill was born in Salem, N. J., February 7, 1819, died at his home in Orono Township, Muscatine County, Ioa, February 5, 1905, lacking two days of being 80 years old. He moved with his parents when 10 months old, to Ohio. Was married to Eliza Hughes, October 13, 1843. To this union one child was born. In 1845 he was married to Matilda Hughes. To this union were born four children. Was married in 1857, to Sarah A. Long. These three wives preceded him to the spirit Land many years ago. Was married to Mary Robinson, December 18,1861. To this union were born three children. Came to Iowa in 1859: settling in Louisa county which has been his home ever since, except a few years, and the last two years in Muscatine county. Funeral services held in the Christian chapel conducted by Rev. Crow, of Lone Tree, after which the remains were borne to the Swank cemetary and placed in the grouond to await the resurrection morn, and his spirt has gone to the God who gave it. He leaves to morn his loss a faithful wife, three sons and three daughters; also one brother, A. C. Hill, Clay Center, Kansas, and one sister, Sarah Fitzgerald, of Center Point, IA. Mr. Hill fell some years seven years ago, fracturing his hip so that he could not walk since. All this time he was a silent sufferer, never being free of pain, but never known to murmur or complain. In his death the widow has lost a faithful husband; the children, a loving father, and the community an honest, upright citizen. The sympathies of the neighbors and friends are extended to them in their sad affection." There it is: Jan
